This school year, we will be teaching 1st-5th grades the Second Step Prevention Program starting in September. Each grade level consists of 4 lessons and will cover topics of Recognizing, Reporting, and Refusing bullying, as well as what to do if you see bullying (bystander role). Many of the lessons also include home components (worksheet) so that parents can continue the conversations at home and have an understanding of what is being taught.
We will also be offering a parent night in October to teach parents about what the kids learned and also tips for parents on how to handle bullying situations. More details to come.
